Weather, Biomes and the effects of them

Step 1m out of the biome and suddenly the weather and storm is no longer an issue, it's also quite jarring to see how the ambient light suddenly changes, I understand the intention behind this but the lighting should have a much much larger cross-fade effect, increase the biome border size in where effects transition, have it least 200m or more, that the storms are entirely isolated to the biome is also quite strange if you ask me, the cut off is just too hard for all these things. Initially when I heard that the game will have storms I was really hoping for a more sophisticated weather simulation and not weather in a box based on a biome essentially.

The weather shouldn't be purely limited to its own biome and should be able to spill over to some degree into other biomes, it just feels super artificial. When it comes to weather one of the games that does it quite well is Breath of the Wild, its based on temperatures and has climate zones, perhaps biomes could have a couple more sub-biomes to mimic actual weather a bit better.

Just a bit of a rant as I really love this game and I would like to see it improved and I'm sure that it can be improved but please don't make me also create yet another mod to have a semi-realistic weather simulation
