Way to sync player maps?

Is it possible to transfer a friend's open map to me? He was in some area, but I was not, I have this area in gray. How do I synchronize the maps with each other? Is there a file with the progress of opening the map somewhere in the files?

No you cannot combine player maps. You could replace your map files with his, but you will lose yours.

Your best bet is to go explore that area yourself.

I'm ready to lose my map, how can I do this? What kind of file should I copy and where is it located?

Whoever is hosting would need to do it. The files are inside the Players folder of the save. Just find your EoS ID and his EoS ID. Then copy the .map file for his ID out, rename it to be your EoS ID, and then copy it back into the Players folder replacing your file. I would recommend keeping backups just in case.

Another option is to play on a dedicated server and enable the map feature. It will show all players maps.
