Wasteland challenge not counting zombie kills

Currently doing the Kill Wasteland Biome Zombies challenge and it counted my 5 mutated zombie kills but is showing 0/20 for regular zombie kills when I’ve killed at least 15.

Were you STANDING in the wasteland biome when getting these kills?

Yes I was well inside the Wasteland. I’ve done all the other biome challenges so I know how the process works. Also I killed my 5 mutated zombies and they counted those.
