Voltralux's POI Pack

You can now download these POIs as a single Modlet via Nexus mods, compiling all released and future release POIs into one easy to install folder. Not only does this Modlet include two dozen new POIs but also a range of craftable decorative models and blocks to liven up your base, expanding your ability to customise and personalise your environments. To download the Modlet follow the link:

Voltralux POI Pack

This is a collection of POIs built by myself. These POIs are packaged as Mods to support the POI naming system added in Alpha 21 and so should be installed in your Roaming AppData Mods folder, as opposed to the LocalPrefabs folder. All of these POIs support random world generation and should be selected when generating a new world though they can also be placed manually by the player. Some of these POIs also utilise additional models and objects.

If you experience any issues please let me know so I can work through them and improve the player experience. If you encounter any missing textures, blocks, issues with difficulty or spawning you can contact me here or over on Nexus Mods.

Hello

It is possible to have a package ? than one by one ?

thanks you
I also feel this is needed.  I did download them one by one, but that is a pain, especially on Nexus (I hate that site!).  If you want to allow people to choose which ones, you can still have individual downloads, but can also do a single download for everyone who wants everything.

It is also a pain to have so many "mods" where each is a single POI.  It almost makes it not worth using them.

I do plan to do a pack, my magic number is 30 POIs before I will compile them though, I want the pack to feel worthwhile and 30 I feel is a good number to jump in at. I have a few in the works, a few ideas I've yet to start and a few to remaster. I think the current number stands at 24 so it won't be long now.

Hi @VoltraLux. First of all, I really like your POI.  They are great!

I had added your POI to my personal map that I made with Teragon and noticed some POI weren't spawning.  I looked at things and noticed that VoltraLuxCasino is set to 60x60 downtown, but after looking at the vanilla downtown tiles, all 60x60 placements have another tag - either inter02downtowntile or tdowntowntile, which prevents your POI from spawning since it doesn't have those. I haven't tested this in vanilla RWG, but the way it was explained to me is that if a tile has additional tags for a POI Marker, only POI with the same tags can be placed there.  If that's accurate, that POI will not get placed without either one of those tags added to it or else a custom tile included where it can be placed.

Also, you have a number of POI set for commercial caps and you have 2 custom commercial cap tiles for those.  The chances of having a lot of commercial cap tiles seems pretty low unless you have really large cities and with those caps being diluted with 2 more tiles, the chance that you will see all of your commercial cap POI on the same map is really low.  I'm not sure that there's really anything to do about that, but just thought I'd mention it.  The same thing happens with vanilla 100x100 cap POI like the factories for industrial caps and stadium, hospital, nursing home, and others for commercial caps.

the custom tiles should be fine as there are rwgmixer included. Have found in v1 caps are spawning alot more frequently.

Yes weird that all the 60x60 are tagged that and you are correct. I would recommend adding a custom tile with a 60x60 downtown or copying a tfp tile with 60x60 and removing that tag from it.

RWG - Commercial Caps are common enough, but Downtown Caps are very rare and CountryResidential Caps are often non-existent.

Many of the Oldwest tiles aren't being used either, mostly because the Oldwest town is defined as being really small. I feel that settlement's shape starts to get interesting around 5 tiles in size, but then you start to get duplicate POIs in the same settlement.

Ok, so it's probably just layout/town size limiting the number of caps for commercial in the one map I checked this on.  So that part might not really be an issue.  But the tags for downtown 60x60 would still prevent that POI from ever spawning without a custom tile or else adding one of those additional tags to the POI.
