Vehicle Damage Modifiers

I've been trying to find a way to nerf the 4x4. It's far too easy to simply drive in circles on a blood moon with little to no consequence. A couple of repair kits at the end and you're golden.

I have tried:

Adding damagebonus.metal to cop vomit and <property name="Material" value="MtreeWoodSmall"/> to the 4x4

Adding <passive_effect name="DamageModifier" operation="perc_add" value="5" tags="vehicle"/> to zombie hand weapons

Applying debuffs to the 4x4 (slows on collision, damage over time [oil/gas leaks])

None of these have worked out for me. If anyone could share their expertise, I'd be grateful.

 
In buffs.xml there is code to change the vehicle damage and other things like that but it isn't implemented yet. So I don't think there is a way to do it yet.
