v2.5 Appreciation & Suggestions

I previously took to this thread to express some problems I had with the game, and I stand by everything I said. Hell, I've noticed even more problems. But I'm not here to be negative or to beat a dead horse, I'm here to express my gratitude to The Fun Pimps for making these changes in update 2.5. While this should definitely not be the end of it, and I still expect more things like this in the future, striking a balance like this is never easy. It's very clear that this project is driven by passion (and a little bit of green more recently, with these cosmetic packs, but it can't be easy funding an entire game development studio when so many of your players paid for your only successful project just once almost a decade ago) and it isn't easy taking such harsh criticism on something you put your heart and your soul into. But they took that criticism, and they didn't just shut down any complaints, they didn't just entirely revert Storm's Brewing, and they didn't just make absolute nothing changes in an attempt to appease the community. They compromised with the community, balancing new things with mechanics from how the game used to be. This game is not perfect, and I still don't agree with everything TFP has done recently, but I think they've earned back some of my respect.
So while we're here, why don't we continue to suggest potential solutions to the game's issues - not just because we'd personally like to see the implementation of one thing or another, like the average joe begging for the addition of a feature in the comments of any news announcement ever from any game, but because we could help out the developers with proper feedback.
I'll go first: The reception to these cosmetic packs has been really quite mixed, and I can see why. $9 For a thirst set is pretty extreme. But keep in mind that we do have cosmetics which aren't paid, even if they're a shadow of what they used to be. Here's my suggestion, more cosmetics like this, both via paid DLC and free updates. People like the free cosmetics and the community is happy, and in-turn they're willing to buy more paid DLC, both because they like the cosmetics they've already got and because they wanna support the devs. It's a win-win. Hell, why not hold a temporary promotion where you give players one set of otherwise paid cosmetics for free, and if they like it they can buy more, like a free sample? You could even try something like adding Steam Workshop support for community cosmetics so that you don't have to put so much time (and therefore money) into developing things you'll see no return on, or if that's still too much effort, maybe hold a contest and officially implement the winners' cosmetics for everyone? Regardless, the happier the community is with what they already have, the more willing they are to pay for more, which is a hands-down victory for both parties in any given scenario for any game. Even if the developers aren't just motivated by money, more cheddar means more updates of higher quality, which means an even happier community, which means even more cash flow - it's always gonna be mutually beneficial.

I dont mind cosmetics Addons. I bought the hoarder set, when it first came out.

I do like the idea of asking for suggestions.........as long as the Doom Slayer and Evil Overlord outfits are not forced on the visual. The last comment more specifically meant for the MP side of the equation.

That's great for solo play.

For server play, things are more involved. That is, everyone has to have those cosmetics installed for them to be visible to everyone. If you installed a Steam Workshop "Taxi Driver" appearance, and I didn't, what is the game supposed to show me when I come across you in the game world?

It works with TFP content because they distribute the appearances with the game regardless of if you have unlocked it, or paid for it.

Now, if we start talking about Steam integration where servers get to establish a list of Mods that must be installed before you can join the server, and along with that a convenient way to download all those mods collectively, and along with that a way to turn mods on and off as you change between servers and/or solo play, THEN what you suggest becomes feasible.
