Hello Survivors!

Today we have an Experimental patch that is required for connectivity. The compatibility for EOS versions <1.17.1.3 will expire on October 1st.
We also have some small fixes in this, but the planned content release will come with V2.5 instead of V2.4 now.
As with any Experimental release, please make a backup of your save game before jumping in it with V2.4.

Here is how you participate:
  1. Right click on the game in steam
  2. Click on properties
  3. Click the “betas” tab
  4. The drop down menu will have latest_experimental available <— you want THAT
  5. Select that and wait for the game to download

Here's the V2.4 b5 changelog:

Fixed
  • Factory_02 "Shotgun Messiah Factory" quest can again be completed
  • Typo in progression.xml to correctly boost the loot probability of armor magazines with the medium and heavy armor skills
  • Launcher giving "1980-0-0 is not a valid date specification." error when there's SavesLocal folders without any files
  • Connecting to EAC enabled dedi sometimes fails with message size error on server
  • Breaking open a locked police car by driving a vehicle into it doesn't trigger the car alarm event. Also fixes other block game events in cases where a driven vehicle is the damaging entity
  • NRE with airdrop nav object icon.
  • NREs for clients who have connected to a server but not spawned and receive quest related net packages
  • PS5 fails to exit to the main menu due to process restart failure.
  • Steam build reflections are having a strobing effect which can worsen greatly under certain lighting conditions
  • Toggle sprint not turning off when entering or exiting a vehicle.
  • Allow 0 as well as 1 as valid LootRespawnDays value for crossplay servers
  • PS5: Water missing blue hue.

Maybe we'll get 3rd person view and maybe the Apiary Station (Honey), the Pig??? Some more changes with the storms, the weather system is coming back (or is that 3.0?). Possibly the new Frost Claw and Plague Spitter models... Chicken coop? (Probably not before 3.0), and dare I say it? The Jars.
I don't really know anymore what might be in 2.X and what is scheduled for 3.0 (except for Bandits of course).
Too much has changed since "the people have spoken".

I was hoping for more too...but, I accept why they are doing this quick one to update the compatibility before Oct 1st. Hopefully 2.5 is right around the corner...meanwhile I got as many hours on Helldivers II as I do on this game now. Really looking forward to playing 2.0 complete.
Im tbh i was joking about it but its stuff that needs to be fixed so im not complaining
 
Thanks for the patch. Updates that adds useful new content to build the game up, is so long overdue. Tbh I dont really care much for bandits. Not sure if anyone else does. Its just nice to see we are getting a new workbench for making honey is coming, hoping for a chicken coop, and some new features in the works.
 
TFP are on the right track with putting bug fixs first, they shouldn't even think about releasing 3.0 bandits or adding any new stuff for at least another 2 years untill all the bugs are fixed.
I don't agree to a certain extent. Let's say they fix all bugs before adding Bandits (as you said), but by adding Bandits later on, it breaks some bugs that were already fixed; then what was the point of fixing those bugs if adding Bandits might bring them back again. Why work on the same things two or three times?

First step: Add everything that needs to be in the game.
Second step: Fix all bugs one time instead of several times.
