PC Update Stable to Experimental on Server

I have a Dedicated Server with the latest Stable Version. Do I have to start a New Game if I update to Experimental?

Experimental might always break an existing game, there are already reports that exp A19.1 did. So you should make at least a backup before updating.

If you want to be (almost) sure to keep a game going, better wait for the "final" release.

 
stable update usually bring similar issues as experimental  ....  specific  big  changes are quitelikely to  break maps /create severe issues ..... considering 19.1 state better count  with the fact you probably wont be able to  play old save on it  even after stable release
