PS Unusable Save

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? I played yesterday and experienced a lot of lag and rubber banding, I've noticed other console players are dealing with the same. However has anyone else been unable to load an existing save okay? My game was fine aside from the listed issues, went to load today and I can get to spawn and hear my drone and then I'll sit on "building environment". It's frustrating as I've nearly 100 days in game and would love to keep working on the file.

Unfortunately, severe lag or other performance problems can also lead to problems saving properly. A corrupted save is usually not something you can fix even on PC and would be unlikely to be fixable at all on console. Saves on long games can grow a lot and that could possibly cause issues on consoles. Keeping chunk reset at a small value so it happens often can help with that, but even with that, saves will grow over time. It may be that keeping a single game going for 100+ days will not be stable on consoles. Maybe that can be improved, and maybe not. I don't really know.

You may want to consider keeping your games shorter, though. The game can be played for hundreds of days, but it's really designed to be played up to around day 50-70 on 60 minute days and then start over. The exact day depends on the player and what they want to do. A lot of players will start over after they have max level equipment. Others start over after reaching some specific goal, such as building a fancy base or reaching a certain level or any other goal they might set for themselves. What you decide is up to you, but keeping the games shorter may help you avoid problems on console. Or just play longer games and be willing to have a game suddenly stop working and start over at that point. I know it isn't what you want to hear, but it's the best I can suggest.
