I am not sure it was a random setting I selected but I am starting a play through of the 3.0 experimental with zero mods installed and noticed I can just craft 10000 cloth with no materials. Great concept but also I’m sure not an intentional feature.

EDIT: I have noticed the same is true for iron and stone arrows, armor and repair kits, candles, jack o lanterns, first aid bandages, short iron pipes, iron and stone crossbow bolts, and cornmeal.
 
Reproduction Steps
Opening backpack crafting and search for cloth. There should be a recipe that doesn’t require any ingredients.

I actually found out this exploit was due to setting crafting cost to 75%. After changing it back to 100% I loaded back in game to find everything required ingredients again.
 
Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to report this. This apparently happens when crafting cost is set to under 100%. Any recipe that requires materials with only one ingredient gets rounded down resulting in free craftable items. We have an internal ticket for this and you should see a fix in the near future. Thanks again!
