Two gear tiers and New armor type

It may be me but I not satisfied with the odd arrangement of the equipment we have. the pipe weapons feel outplaced to be being the ONLY more salvaged equipment we use as weapons, and really bugs me the first baton is a pipe tonfas when wood tonfas exist in real life, why not have proper salvaged tier can use both the non forged iron and other salvage as components. for example the shovel could be a yield sign that has been worked in to a makeshift shovel or the spear made from a sharpened one-way sign. with this I would also suggest a bone and fur based armor over the iron and cloth ones that serve as the basic armor. 
the second tier I have in the title would be more along the lines of a elite armor grade using rare material found only in top level trader quests or raiding the most dangerous POVS/ fighting deadly bosses. possible resources could be titanium, special forces armor pieces for those elite soldiers and military polymer for advanced weapons. 
the armor type would be a medium armor, we have the sneaky but low defense light armors and the weighty but tanky heavy armor but nothing in the middle. 
possible examples could be a chain mail suit for the forge iron tier, a cloth and iron mix for starter/salvaged tier and the existing military armor for the steel tier with a scout/recon set taking it's place (the military set feels more like it would be a medium set to me.)

 
Well, you're definitely out of luck for armor considering they are redoing armor.  And I doubt they will consider changing weapons when the game is leaving early access in around a month.  I do agree that some weapon progressions could be a bit better.  Many of the lowest tier weapons could be more cheaply made weapons and probably make more sense.  But in the end, they want around 3 tiers of things and what they have fits into that and works.
