Thoughts on 2.0

Hello, fun pimps, fellow players, old-timers, I would like to discuss the 2.0 innovations from the point of view of a player who has been playing and following the development for many years

Positive points:
+ I am very happy about the storms, they look amazing
+ Biome hazards are a good mechanic, but the implementation raises questions that I will ask in another block
+ New points of interest look great (especially Bunker_00), thanks for the great work
+ New zombies (and their mechanics especially) look great
+ New Grace skin looks great, I would like to see many such "mini-bosses" in the future
+ Optimization has clearly become better, thank you


Controversial points:

? Removing the temperature system - why? It perfectly complemented the changes you made, the mechanics were already made by you, so why remove them?
? The mechanics of tokens for being in a biome looks very controversial, why wasn't it done through special items that would be put on in the fifth slot (example - burnt biome - breathing mask, desert - cooling kit, winter - heating kit, wasteland - anti-radiation kit) and getting a token at the moment, in my opinion, is too easy, maybe it would make sense to tie it to completing a series of merchant quests, and not to a couple of extremely simple tasks...
? Interface - if most players are satisfied with the system with biome tokens - so be it, but put its icon in the interface below, next to the worn armor, at the moment the character interface looks very bad when on both sides of the player's head there is a biome token and a wardrobe button.
? The number of special zombies in the biome looks excessive at the moment (especially strange with the yeti zombie)
? It is also unclear why bees cannot fly through the bars, but the huge boulders that the yeti throws can

Overall, my impression of the update is positive, I am glad that you guys are not abandoning the game and are developing it further, I wish you success in further development

Well, I'm not very happy with the tokens, but the interface is quite clear, it can be left. Armor at the bottom, cosmetics at the top.

From the point of view of the game engine logic, everything is logical. The grid is transparent to bullets and arrows, and flies do not belong to bullets and arrows. Although from the point of view of human logic, flies should fly through it freely, here the developers should improve the game a little.
 
• The temperature system did not get removed and there are plans to bring it back. The code is basically spaghetti and they need to redo it.
• IIRC, they did not want to have to make special slots for biome progression items, but I could be wrong about that. Possible it could change in the future if enough people dislike the badge system.
• The interface will probably be tweaked in the future. There are always tweaks made after stable releases so that could be one of them. I am not a dev though so I could be wrong about my assumptions.

Overall I am also happy with the update. I know TFP prefer to hear from those who have actually played the experimental and genuinely critique it vs those who don't put forth the time nor the effort before jumping the gun.
