Madmole, i am starting to feel really bad for the amount of value i have gotten out of this game. Everything on my wishlist is in the game, and a lot more. You have really spoiled us. Please make your next game 60$ EA, we owe you! :)

Also, please make 7 days to Dark fantasy RPG" next. :D

That's not a bad idea. All the pieces are already there, forges, mining, traders being blacksmiths as they could be called, resource gathering like wood and iron, castle building, chem stations being alchemy kits, all they need are elves and dwarves, swords and battleaxes and a little light magic here and there. Of course that is fantasy 101 and could be considered just adding to the mix of Elder Scrolls type games, something more imaginative like the Thief series was, that would be kind of cooler.

The content is is almost all there already, its just they decided to go with the modern world instead and I do not think they will branch out like that but who knows.

I feel the same way that is why I buy copies of the game for family friends and strangers. Its my way of giving money to TFP as a thank you for creating such a great game. 60 early access though.....man I don't know about lol

 
I am in this camp as well. I've played this game quite a bit through several alphas it was an absolute steal on a $20 steam sale. I'm going to buy a 7 days coffee mug on Amazon and look for more brand merchandise. Bought it for my son and his friend.

Thank you so much TFP for making such a great game.

Well the amount of people who buy the game are so happy with it and give good reviews and suggest it to friends and family and that 500,000 or so guys at $20.00 will add up to $10,000,000.00 less steam fees and other production costs. I believe they are doing well and its not because they are greedy they just made a game that people like and will buy and they have the best job in the world doing something they love. So they are probably happy with the money they get and well deserve. There are lots of games that are abandoned by developers or are garbage and these guys will not sell near as many copies because their games are not something anyone wants.

I am always reminded of the game developers in the Amiga days when 30% of the games out there were pirated and these developers went out of business because of it. I think TFP are well respected enough to draw (hopefully) people glad to buy their game and support them.

You could say that this thread in itself is a tiny part in the possible sale of one or more games from a google search, so you have supported them by giving them a good review of sorts. Bad reviews and complaining from people negatively influence people but praise influences potential new buyers.

I would think of buying copies for my friends if I had any friends.

Hell, despite only experiencing the game via console at this point, I feel guilty I only got the game because of a Walking Dead Telltale bundle that tossed the game in.

I never even heard of the game, and it sat for months in my library before I finally decided to try the game with a friend.

It's an understatement how much I regret not playing it sooner, cause I've had so much value from this game and time invested for basically free. Which is why when I undoubtedly make that transition to PC, 7D2D is the only game next to The Long Dark (My God that's another one that's blown my mind away with being addictive) that I can guarantee will be bought without hesitation.

I am pretty sure there is fantasy-ish style mod already out. I saw Games4Kickz on youtube playing a sorcery mod the other day. There are a few medieval mods out there as well.

 
To some extent here is no need to make a new game, as you could pimp out this one with mods, making it whatever you want. The only problem i see, there will be a lot of changes incoming, which will require reworking the mods significantly. Yet, modding has never been easier, so...

 
They should charge for the final release if you ask me. I would pay just on principle, even if I never touched the game again.

I bought the game some time after the release on some sale. The idea got to me and i went into the game again with the newest (filled with bugs though lol) Beyond update. Surprisingly enough, this character already exceeded 25h of gameplay, which most of my previous runs had, although i'm not sure there will be many more hours to hit there.

 
I bought it cheap for me and my buddy at some 2 for 1 sale and now I'm ashamed :upset:

Why would you be ashamed of playing one game or another? The only reason i came up with is if it was a scam, a ripoff or was very offensive. If a game caught your attention, it doesn't matter if it had poor gameplay, bad graphics or was incomplete.

Well one other reason is if you never played if after buying, but that's a number of games i have in my Steam library, although i would never say any of them were one of the above i mentioned. Additionally, some "bad games" get better after a few updates (if they do get updates) and NMS gets them. It's a way different game than it was at release time, not to mention the story it shows in the main quest line is very intriguing (Artemis quest line). I never did get too far with the main story, although i aim to at least get to know it better. I think i'm halfway past it now.

So yeah, wouldn't say the game is boring or there isn't much to do. Surely there is some grinding, but with the latest update you don't have to run back to base so much as most resources stack up to 10k instead of 250, while other items have diverse stacks (lost tech 25, but doubles in backpack storage, etc.). Also, depending how you play and how much luck you have at the beginning in finding a good weapon/ship (with lots of space for enhancements and loot) you'll have a varied experience now, yet less frustrating than before.

And no, i wouldn't buy it for 60$, not even for 30$. 7DTD, i'd gladly pay some more if a need arises, just to show my appreciation. Although perhaps 30$ at most.

 
The thing that annoys me the most is to have paid 20 bucks for the game and more than 300 over 5 years for renting servers ... The opposite would have been more logical ^^.
