PC Think I'll just dump everything on the ground now...

Please! For the love of all that is holy, do something about swapping baskets on the bike!

I just dumped my entire basket on the ground. ON A HILL! It was almost full. Emphasis on 'was'. Only managed to catch 5 items as they were rolling and sliding away. One mis-click and an entire loot run is ruined.

Lol, can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that. Usually I’m in the middle of adding or organizing and a wandering horde decides to visit. I always end up complaining about my stupidity on the way back to my holdout...

Oh, man, I've done that several times as well, and it's always infuriating.

Shift+click is the only way to go for inventory management, it REALLY shouldn't swap parts when you explicitly select the inventory option in the wheel menu.

Maybe they could make it so it will only transfer items if you select the inventory, and only swap parts if you select the wrench icon.

HOWBOUTDAT

If it was something that would normally happen IRL, I wouldn't mind. But never have I ever accidentally dumped an entire container of things when switching boxes, cases etc. Is the dropped item timer moddable at least?

I'm fairly certain that the origins of this particular feature are not from above the mortal plane.

Maybe a checkbox to lockdown the parts of a mini bike? Much like locking a chest. Can't change Parts until you uncheck the Box?

Yes please this! That way shift clicking engines and batteries etc into the basket would work!

I think they should just tie it to the locking mechanism already in place. So if you lock your bike you can't swap out the parts until it is unlocked.

I would appreciate that, too. When that happened the first time I didn't even understand what just happened. My loot just went away. Completely gone. It took me a while to find out. :(

Is annoying...

However nothing is so bad, that it isn't good in some way.

Friend joys over found basket.

You remember the basket issue, but say nothing.

2 sec later, the inevitable happens...

You: Evil laughter....

We don’t need a checkbox. Unless I’m mistaken, swapping in a better basket does nothing. So shift-clicking on a basket could always move it into the other inventory space instead of swapping it, and that would never be a bad thing.

With that said, assembly is overhauled in A17 so this may already be different.

I did this two times, both in the same week.

After i read such a tread like this here :strawberry:

But maybe it would be cool to remove the Code that summon the Dog horde every time this happens

I second this excellent idea. It gives locks a purpose in single player, and only just makes sense.

How about learn from your mistakes. It's not hard.
So theres many buttons on this particular control panel. One of them will mess you up really good if you press it, accidental or otherwise.

Do you "learn from your mistake", and not push that button, or do you take that damn button off, because it shouldn't be there anyway and there's no reason for it?

I agree, no checkbox. Use the padlock like Maharin said; as it stands, that item is useless in single player, so that would solve both issues.
