PC The last alpha before 1.0 and after 20

I was playing A20 when my PC died and was a couple of months away from A21. Can anyone let me know if A21 is worth playing or maybe A22 for all I know. In other words I would like start at the last alpha I was in which is A20 unless someone could defend and or promote a different alpha (other than 1.0). I would like to start where I left off but I lost the save and map files somehow.

I guess I might be playing in October if lucky and would like to play at least part time, without a real idea of what else I would get into.

There's really no reason to play older versions unless there is something you don't like in the newer versions.  There are just so many improvements from A20 that going back to that is the last thing I'd do, even with some of the changes that I don't like.  But it's really up to you.  No one can tell you what you should do as only you know what features you like or don't like with each version and which version gives you the best of what you personally want.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. There is a good reason to update and the game I guess was not broken, so If I ever get back to it I will try the latest.
