Hey everyone,
The Hunger Games is back for 2020 with it's biggest cast ever! Last year we hosted the 2nd annual Hunger Games on Twitch where 24 casters and personalities from the 7 Days to Die communities on Twitch and YouTube battled it out for bragging rights, championship belts, and of course for charity.
Competitors this year will compete in teams of 3, with each team competing for specific charities. Viewers have the direct ability to attempt to impact the match with donations of $50 or more during the event, all of which goes into the "Pot". At the end of the event, 100% of donations in the "Pot" goes to the winning team's charity(s). In a new twist for this year, viewers will now be able to teleport selected competitors randomly to other spawn locations via donation as well!
Last year, Team Pimps was able to take home the win and secure the $7300 "Pot" for the Susan G. Kommen Breast Cancer Foundation, and this year we are looking to raise even more for an awesome charity!
The event will take place on a custom-made map over 5 rounds, where each round is Last Man Standing. Teams will be scored based on where they "finish" a round, and bonus points will be awarded for a competitor who gets the most kills in a round as well. Donations from the audience of $50 or more can be used to attempt to "Help" or "Hurt" a specific competitor of their choosing, either through a customized airdrop or a round-themed zombie spawn, respectively.
In a newly-added twist this year, viewers will also have the opportunity to teleport a competitor of their choosing to a randomly determined spawn location for donations of $125. This could potentially make a HUGE impact on any round and should help keep competitors on their toes!
Events in the Twitch 7D2D community aren't super common but the community itself is always amazing, and we look at this as an attempt to put on a show and bring together a TON of 7D2D content creators for a great cause!
