Dark Sun
Survivor
I've put very much nearly 10,000 hours into this game since when I first got a hold of it back in Alpha 17, and much like any part of life, its had its ups and downs, good and bad memories, some stick out, while much of it, especially the mundane, has been forgotten. Nonetheless, I have and still do cherish and love this game, for all its strengths, flaws, quirks, and bugs. It has been my comfort game, almost my home (gaming wise), for so many years, but, even though I've said this a few times over the past couple of years, I can now say with a sigh of bittersweet but accepting confidence that it's almost, almost time for me to hang up my boots. I've barely played overhaul mods, surprisingly, so I still see a few more adventures for me awaiting in those, and I still play multiplayer sparingly, but even that will be finite. I yearn for experiences elsewhere now. Nothing lasts forever, I suppose, and that's fine. There comes a point where you've done basically everything, in the end.
This post just acts as a final(ish) diary post of my own, and a thank you to TFP for so many years of long lasting memories. This isn't a forever goodbye, of course, just a "until next time".
Happy gaming, folks. <3
