PC TFP Only Proprietary Softwares Opportunities?

In the past I know from other people TFP does giveaways on their discord of steam serial keys & now they have a guilded which has changed it's PP to close accounts which have not linked their roblox account. What I would like to know if any of these opportunities can be applied for entry & claimed by email or some open source network? Not everyone is a proprietary supporter & will jump on legal spyware software like discord & guilded in order to get these opportunities which leaves the open source community out of luck. If so I hope there is an effort to change that around so everyone may have an equal opportunity in order to give everyone a chance.

A lot of companies began shifting to giving support on only third party proprietary softwares for the convenience that another company is hosting the servers & all the data which creates the impression companies do not care about open source community of people who will not use proprietary networks. They do things such has leaving one person to monitor support over the website once a week where a mod on the legal spyware may answer immediately because there's always at least 3 or 4 people dedicated to "support on third party." This trend has even shifted to the new generations because monkey see monkey doo which is hurting open source individuals. If any opportunities should arise they should be available for everyone by the website & not only on third parties where they steal your data & sell it to third party companies.

You seem to be confusing open source with data safety or data security issues. While the open source community has a larger interest and does help alot with data safety, those terms are not the same.

And you seem to be confusing free giveaways with support. TFP does currently support for the game through this forum. I did never check whether the forum is tracking users but since there is no advertising on the site there is no real incentive to include advertising networks into the site. It should be generally safe to use.

Giveaways on the other hand are for promotion and often strongly linked with advertising and promoting the game or other stuff. There is no use for giveaways in this forum for example because almost everyone here has already bought the game and doesn't need to be informed that the game exists.

If you care about data privacy you should not expect to get free giveaways in general, because nothing is free, and giveaways are often paid for with your private data

I'm sorry but I think you misunderstood if the opportunity is on an open source network as well as the companies preferred proprietary spaces then the opportunity is there for everyone & if it's not then your excluding them which is the point I'm making. You may think there is no need for it on the forums just because the reason for a giveaway is to advertise & promote the game. That does not mean there is no point in having it on the website.  It's an opportunity available for everyone on a space where the company controls, it brings attraction & gives people a reason to go to the website besides support.

It's not hard at all to create your own submission form & just email the winner the key that's how most people use to do it you know control their own submission, & email contests winners.

That's the kind of thinking that says just only focus on one group & forget the rest just because a majority of companies may do unethical data aggregation does not mean well monkey see monkey doo everyone else is doing it lets hop on the band wagon. Some may do as you said but not everyone is going to which is why I appreciate those who don't. Also I have no expectation only disappointment when I see this happen because it's just another exclusion gate for only the select group that does not care & will willingly sign up to anything without reading tos or pp.

Now if you want to get into the discussion of privacy & data I can talk to you all day about how yeah it's happening everywhere & not much you can do to stop others from doing it other then going to their sites & making posts creating awareness. But we all have options on mitigating it & making our collected info more random also anonymous. I can only hope in the future that this trend goes away it & people go back to self hosting everything then relying on third parties.

Always remember a burglar can break your windows & get into your house that don't mean well you shouldn't lock your front door.
