I loaded up the game and my graphics are completely terrible. I'm on a good gaming laptop, but I have openGL, so I believe that is causing issues. How do I get around this? I have a very capable laptop in every sense besides not having directx. I also cannot post screenshots or my error log into this forum post

Hi, is there any particular reason you only have openGL? You can post a log file to pastebin.com to post a log file, and upload screen shots to something like imgbb or something else and give the links bere. Don't forget to make the pastebin upload public 
lmao, good gaming laptop and openGL... I smell delusions.
How about posting your laptop specs so we can judge for ourselves because most ppl think they have good hardware when they instead have a 5+ year old gaming laptop or a new office based laptop, and I personally have yet to see a single somewhat affordable gaming laptop that doesn't suck, especially when it comes to heat and proper gaming support.
Also, Baldur's Gate 3 is way uglier than this game IMO and the hype for that is insane right now. I don't know why I mention this aside from the fact that the title of this thread drew me in here thinking of BG3 as comparison.
