Teragon - Random Map Generator - Teragon is a third party random map generator created by Pille that can make maps for A20 and newer.

Teragon is a third party random map generator created by Pille that can make maps for A20 and newer versions of 7D2D. It was first released for public use in January 2023 and has received many updates and new features since that time, with many more planned. It comes with both a 2D and 3D preview of your generated maps and can even load maps generated through RWG or other sources to preview and add to or adjust. Teragon has a built-in updater so you will always be up-to-date.

any new updates ? i am still getting crash to desktop on the last stable version about 1 in 4 map attempts...

The next major update is scheduled for June (before storms brewing update).

If you post your preset here or even better a full bug report, we can certainly tell you why it crashes and I would be able to fix it. The report can be generated pressing F11 in the app and following the instructions. Best moment do to this is directly after a crash, after you restarted the app. It will say that you should post the report on Discord but you could also paste it here. It's basically just an image that's being stored into you clipboard.

Another idea is to switch to the testing branch (Main menu -> Option... -> Development) and check if it fixes your problem.

Not really that different from before. The discussion that you have here is in the Released Mod Discussions forum. You'd find it the same as you would have in the past. However, you can now also easily find it by going to the Mods section from the top menu and selecting Tools Mods. There aren't likely to be too many of those, so it should be easy to find it there.

As always, crashes are almost always due to an error in a preset or by trying to make a large map that your computer can't handle. It's also known that the Intel chips that were recalled can cause crashes if you haven't done the microcode update or if they were damaged before applying the update. But it's usually an error. You could easily test that by generating maps using an unedited default preset. If it won't crash, then you know it's your preset. Showing your preset is the best way to get help with that. You can do it here, but keep in mind that Discord will have a much faster response time as this discussion may not be checked as often.
