Temperature!

Please, bring back the temperature gauge! Otherwise, what's the point in having clothing at all, besides for protection (armor) from being damaged by zombies? You can run around naked in the snow and in the desert with no consequence to cold or hot damage, temperature gave more immersion to those areas and that's what I loved about that aspect of the game, a lot.

It's suppose to be a survival horror game, you got thirst and hunger in it already, temperature should be part of it too. When you're out in the wilderness in real life with nothing, you have to rely on temperature to survive in whatever climate you're in.

Temperature will be returning. Faatal said that awhile ago. They just need time to rework it.

It is good they are reworking it. The old temperature system was kind of a joke. You could just ignore it. "Oh no! I'm freezing! Let's take a swim because it doesn't matter."

But question is, why did it get removed in the first place?
They removed it when adding the new armor. With the changes for armor and for storms, they apparently wanted to redo it and make it better. And like I said, the old temperature didn't offer anything other than immersion. There was no challenge provided by it. You could sit with no armor in a lake in the snowy forest during a blizzard and it didn't matter. Sure, there was a minor debuff, but it really didn't make any difference. And it was extremely easy to wear something that kept you from being too hot or cold without even trying. Leaving that in wouldn't benefit anyone. I'll happily wait for a better system.

At least they are going to bring it back.

Well, that's good to hear, I figured they would leave the temperature out of the game forever when it was removed.

I will add that what TFP thinks is better and what we think is better may not be the same. So we will have to wait and see how it turns out.
Sweet, now that I know that temperature will be put back in the game, do I need to delete this thread or leave it in the forum?

Just leave it. Others can see the responses. And besides, you or others can give suggestions for how TFP can improve it if anyone wants.

Do you know if there's a thread about being able to smelt steel weapons or the anvil itself in the forge has already been requested to be added to the game yet?
