Temperature idea for 2.0

Sense we have a new Weather system coming I wanted to share a idea were we both get hazards and temperature

For example at night in the pine forest it gets colder. No matter what armor you are wearing because its based off %

Say the cap at the pine forest is 50% you still suffer a bit but not extreme

cold you lose food faster and heal slower

Heat you lose water and stamina faster

but if you install insulations then you get protection from it. But it comes at a cost of an mod slot

It's still a mod slot/has it's own mod slot.

But not only it gives you the protection from the elements but it changes the look of the hat and outfit.

Normal

Smoke protection (helmet only)

Heat protection

Cold protection

Radation protection

I'll give the Lumberjack hat as a example

Normal Is a skull cap and goggles

The heat one gives you a dewrag and goggles

The cold gives you a ushanka hat and goggles

Radation gives you a gas mask with the skin tight face wrap

There were also a lot less systems, so less overlap, less potential conflict, and less maintenance.

I just checked, there is no day night parameter for temperature change. It was based on altitude.

but you can add that as a wish list.

Yeah true it was based on altitude but basically 2 features became useless. Altitude and wetness

A16 weather was super annoying.  Having to change clothes every 20 steps was not fun.
It wasn't that bad really

If you would like to actually use the altitude, and associated weather, as a pet project, you can do it using

Nitrogen. Just have to import an elevated height map, then edit the weather height changes to your desire,

and remove the buffs from the armor.

That way even when immuin too the extream hazards you still get effects from weather
You want this for Update 2.0? I would say... Not happening!

TFP are already very well advanced in the new weather system, being that it's suppose to be available in experimental in about 5 weeks. I don't think they would rethink their ideas for this in such a short time.

Ik but I just wanted to share my though and hear others

I did not like having to swap clothing either. But using a mod slot or two doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.

I also remember that being wet cooled you down. If weather effects are brought back, I hope that makes a return.

If not... well, I wanted to do a weather mod anyway. :)

I'm going to redo this post cuz I came up with a better idea.
