PS Storage space PS5

I have the following problem: I play a save of myself alone, but would like to open a multiplayer server, or a server only together with a friend to play. Unfortunately, this is completely denied me by the game, as I don't have enough storage space. This is required by the game. My Playstation 5 has external hard drive and storage expansion inside. So I don't lack storage space. So why is this limited? The Fun Pimps have nothing to do with the old PS4 version, but even there it went. Ask for improvement, or help if I need to change the settings. Thank you and thank you for any information.

An alternative would be to rent a managed server and use it as a non-public server just for you and your friend. A bit of config-file editing is necessary, but all of the hassle of installation of the server is done by the company you rent the server from. Important: Set a good long password for your server if you do this.

You can also limit the "size" of the save file when you create a new game by selecting the smallest map, 4K I think, and setting "Chunk Persistence" to "Short".
