Steel items

Dunno if this has already been requested yet, but seriously, can the ability to smelt steel weapons and the anvil itself in the forge be added to the game? I mean, just last night I found an anvil in one of the loot boxes, which would of been handy 2 weeks ago before I made one. I could of really used the iron from the anvil, but no, you can't melt it down, you can't even scrap it, you can either drop it or sell it for pocket change, same for steel weapons like the spear and such which makes zero sense, considering that you could melt the anvil on alpha 16 (or PS4 version of the game).
You can't even smelt any of your excess weapon/armor parts which should also be a thing too.

I would like to do this, it was possible before

Steel weapons can be disassembled into weapon parts. However, from version 1.0 you only get one part.
To correct myself, I didn't mean that you can't scrap the steel weapons, which you can, just the anvil you can't. I dunno why they made it that way, but hope they chang it in the future. I get steel spears sometimes from prelooting a house and after finishing a mission from killing the last zombie(s) in the room where the end loot is stored.

Given my playstyle, this won't change anything for me. By the time I get to the ninth anvil (I usually have eight forges), I already have so much iron that I just don't want to waste time smelting iron items. It's easier for me to throw stacks of 6,000 iron at smelting than to constantly throw in items that melt quickly but give little iron.
