Spectator Mode

Just looking for some general information. When a player is using spectator mode, does that player still get counted towards things such as sleeper spawn / horde spawn while in that mode in the vicinity?    Trying to get some clarity. Been a great tool for filming but I can't work out the specifics.

If it were the case, it surely would be treated as a bug.

You can find out easily, gamestage of a horde is shown in the logfile (AFAIK).
