PC Spawning zombies

I picked a building to defend on horde night and I had it sealed up besides a hole in the ceiling with a ladder to clime in and out but I did not put a hatch on that yet, there are also a couple of rows of spikes on the outside and I cannot get inside without making a ladder and jumping up but my last visit there there were zombies inside it, I have no Idea how they could get inside.

Will a hatch help seal this up so that they will not spawn inside of it, or possibly a LCB or something? I do not know much about the LCB except to use it to move forges and workbenches.

Step one, clear out all sleepers. Can't miss even one.

Yeah a bedroll, I did not think of that, thank you guppycur. i had my bedroll at another location and use the temporary base for horde night only.
