Probably too late for this request, since they’ve already reworked spear.
But a shield and spear combo would be good. The shield could make up for the spears lack of AOE and slow swing timer.
A shield slam (right click) would proc a single target stumble stun. Or if your looking right at the zombies hands or a dogs mouth, then the shield would block. Or at least mitigate most damage and block all debuffs like infection.
Holding right click could initiate a sprinting charge, that knocks over multiple enemies and blocks all frontal damage.
Wooden shield would just be a broken door. Iron could be a car door. And steel would be a legitimate spartan shield from the museum. Or a vault door if ya strong enough.
