Some Ideas i Had

Hi All,

I have had several ideas that i think would be great in 7DtD. Let me know what you think.

1. Duel wield 9mm - This could also work for 1 handed melee weapons like the hunting knife.

2. An extra slot on the Mini Bike (And new Vehicles) to place a Door Remote for garage doors and Draw Bridges. (Could Link It with Pin Codes, Different codes for different doors as a thought)

3. Flame Trap. Same as the spike trap but uses fuel or fuel and animal fat mix.

4. Ride On Lawn Mower. Moves at Player run speed but cuts and collects grass 2-3 squares wide, cotton, Golden Rod etc. (If you make and install a catcher) takes damage from small stones and nests etc

5. More options for weapon attachments ie. Silencer for the 9mm, Short range Scope for the 44 and SMG, Extended mags for Clip weapons. But you can only install One mod at a time

6. Ultra Light. Like the Gyro-copter i have see for A-17 but with 2 seats and needs a cleared area to land like a road.

7. Flame Thrower......Don't think i need to explain this one?

I have a lot more but ill start whit this lot and see if they are liked. Let me know.

Honestly, I think they need to ditch the mini bike and replace it with a dirt bike. When you're in a zombie apocalypse, you wouldn't steal no 50cc mini bike that goes maybe 30-40mph, you'll want a bike with power and dirt tires with bumps that't go through dirt and gravel with ease. Which reminds me, they seriously need to fix the physics on all vehicles but the gyrocopter, I mean since when does a 2 or 4 wheel vehicle struggle to go up a steep hill? It's so cringey!

Considering a dirt bike can do roughly the same as a motorcycle (dependent on cc), but specific to offroad verus on-road, there isn't much reason to have that option. I could see changing the motorcycle to a dirt bike, though. And if you are trying to get around and all you find or can build is a minibike, you're going to use it. Just like with the bicycle.

As far as going up hills, it wouldn't hurt to improve that somewhat, so long as you can't drive up the side of a mountain. It's easy to do so, though. Just increase torque for the vehicles in vehicles.xml, either as a mod or by editing that file directly. Note that editing it directly will mean that any game updates will remove your edits, so it's better to create a mod instead. And, yes, I know that only helps PC users.

I'm on console only (PS5), can't increase anything. When I go up a hill, or even a steep dirt road, I eventually lose speed and then i'm almost at a standstill, with my back tire(s) spinning and going as slow as a slug or snail up the road/hill, which in real life wouldn't happen, even if on a mountain bike.

Not only that, but the way the 4x4 goes airborne all of the time, just by hitting a little bump, is kind of ridiculous. I would love to see that tweaked so that it is more in line with real world physics.

Ditto. Some might think the fact that all the vehicles fly is funny and would probably argue to keep them as they are: one gear for all terrain; airborne at the slightest contact with anything. But I do hope the vehicles and the way they handle different types of terrain are given a good once over before gold. Atm, they're just in the game.
