PC So many good memories

Hiding all night in a delapidated house on the very first night of my very first playthrough, scared @%$#less.

My very first horde night where the horde just wrecked my "fortified" trailer and destroyed half my storage chests.

Building my first gyrocopter, fyling happily around, landing on the roof of a highrise to get some sweet. easy lootsplosion (if anything bad happens I can always jump into my flythingy and take off!), then - seeing a horde of zombies sprinting at me - completely messing it up and falling to my death.

The subsequent retrieval mission where I nerd poled all the way to the top, got my backpack and successfully got the eff out of there.

Hanging out all night at the top of a highrise in the wasteland, half starved to death, slowly running out of ammunition because the zombies kept coming and coming and I couldn't find a safe way back down again because that's where the zombies kept coming from. Then, with my last bullet spent about 15 minutes before 04:00 am finally getting overwhelmed. It was tragic.

Building three bridges to connect the northern side of a lake with its southern side via two islands to save 20 seconds travelling time per trip from city A to city B. Then, after weeks of work, using it twice and starting a new game.

There are many more which don't come to mind right now. But this is why it's such an amazing game for me. And as much as I'm not happy with some recent developments, all of this is still possible - and likely to happen in one way or another  - for new players. And maybe not just for new ones. I've had some good, fun experiences lately too, even when large parts of the game have become a bit 'going-through-the-motions', kind of.  Still, one of the best games I've ever played, and one of the best game experiences I've ever had.
