We used to have a neat effect where snow would cover objects during snowstorms.

Is this going to return some day, or has it been cut?

I really enjoyed it. I think the last time it was implemented they had an issue with it snowing and piling up indoors. I do recall they were working on a fix. Maybe that got scrapped.

My 1 issue was how it covered things up that you could normally loot making it impossible to see.

 
I've never heard word of that returning.

Honestly, it would be awesome, but right now there's not even a good reason to enter that biome to see it.

That is just the thing. There wasn't a SNOW only biome then, as it could rain or snow almost anywhere given the temp and weather. The weather got super nerfed. It was much more interesting in previous builds.

 
There used to be a shader that covers POIs top surfaces in a white texture. That was pretty atmospheric.

Would be good if that comes back.

Adding snow voxels is probably a dangerous thing (all kinds of side effects), I can see why that is not in the game anymore.

 
I don't even get rain or mist these days. Those used to be frequent. But yeah I miss the random snow in Forest Biome, it was great.
