here's a idea why not have a storage crate that can be shared when placed in your base / land claim and can be accessed on all your bases land claims it would encourage more horde bases / base building
 
Would be nice where if you have a storage crate next to a workbench (or any other work station) that it would automatically connect their GUIs together for convenient access.

I would also like to see a highlighting feature where if you select an item to craft, the necessary items needed to craft it would light up/glow in any inventories the player accesses.

If you are on PC and not adverse to mods you should be able to do that with a craft from containers mod.

Also you can track recipes if you click on the track button in menu when you have something you want to craft highlighted and it will put the recipe to top right of screen.

I am aware of the mod, but I was more meaning for it to be available in the base game since console do not have access to mods. QoL feature, if you will ^^

in games where i have the option of a universal storgae i tend to play nomad. when i have locked storage i tend to build one central base. i'm down for the idea of this

yeah, I wasn't sure if you meant for PC or Console as both are in this section now so I did mention if you were on PC. Who knows it might be a thing added in future. Can always hope.
And as for Hood Ornament lol yeah feels like I have been here that long.
