Server when no one is logged on?

Question:  When no one is logged on to a dedicated server what happens?  Does the entire game pause?  Does time keep passing?  Might you log in to find yourself in the middle of a horde night all alone?

Time shouldn't move forward if no one is on. You could log in and find yourself in a horde night all alone if someone had played until horde night started and then logged out or if on horde night they thought it was over and logged out before 4:00. The horde restarts....or at least it used to, haven't tried it in a while
