Server Disconnected You

Hello all,

I have been having this issue with repeatedly getting disconnected from my brother's server ("Server Disconnected You"). I included a few examples of the logs I have, in hopes it will get a better idea of what the problem may be. I'm the only one out of the 6 people on the server having this issue, and ironically I'm pretty sure I have the newest/beefiest computer out of all of them 😅 My thoughts are this might be wifi related, but I'm not certain.

I tried verifying the integrity of the game files, and uninstalling/reinstalling. I did a basic reset of the wifi, and it seems to be running fine otherwise. 

Thank you in advance for any advice/insight. If it seems to be wifi related, I can call Comcast on Monday 🥴

Your links are broken so we cannot see your logs. As a general rule, though, it is not recommended to play this game over wifi due to it being a half duplex connection so data is restricted. A great test for you would be to run an ethernet cable to the router and see if your problem is solved. I know in some cases how much of a pia it is to run ethernet cables though.

 
Yeah, this game passes a LOT of data that needs to be mostly clean to function properly -- it doesn't like wifi very much. You can try using the Network Workaround, but likely won't do too much. If you really must use wifi, you can try getting a powerful adapter (dual antenna, can pick one up between 30 - 50$ depending), but ethernet is the way to go.  Don't forget to add firewall/antivirus exceptions.

What's weird though is all my friends playing are also on wifi, not ethernet cables. My brother has his on the other side of his house, and he says the wifi is worse in his town than mine- but he has not had the same issue. My router is in my room, just on the opposite side(not a great location to run a cable for one game.) My brother and I are also using the same adapter.

What was making me think it was the wifi, is xfinity has been working in my area which has caused some disruptions. I have a steady 250+mpbs download, even when I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. No one else is really using the wifi I'm on here, just me.

Your logs confirmed that the tcp connection is timing out. Besides switching to an ethernet connection the only other option is to make sure that you are not running any network optimizing software, like Asus Gamefirst or others like it. I guess a bad router could do it but the one thing that I am positive of is that it is network related, my bet is wifi. It doesn’t matter what your speed is, it’s the fact that, as I said before, wifi is half duplex.

 
The Pinned Support FAQ covers excluding the client from security software, and troubleshooting connection issues. Also be certain that you have removed any system bloatware from your computer. Especially those that claim to boost your network performance.
