sculpting terrain in a prefab?

DMC

Refugee
Other than bashing away at the ground with a tool is there a way to sculpt terrain? For example making a nice smooth hill as found in game, for your house or other prefab to sit upon.

Make a hay bale or use a scrap wood frame.

Place it down and it also flattens the terrain for you.

Be sure to recollect and recycle for maximum coverage.

Ive done this myself for prefabs. The easiest way i can think of as you described it would be

EDIT: not sure you can export from world editor, I think I actually exported from a game save, rest is the same.

Open world editor in any map with hills that look like what you want

Select a hill that you want with the blue box and export it as a prefab

Open prefab editor and merge your prefab to the hill

OR

Open world editor

Place the your prefab on the hill how you want it and save that as a new prefab.

I would recommend grabbing Pilles prefab editor for getting the rest of the settings like zombies, copy air or not etc.

ok, thanks guys... I had been thinking about the whole take a hill from a map etc... will give it a try for sure. I hope A18 does include said tools :)

I am talking about making the terrain in your prefab to look like the terrain in the game... Yes i can make it snow ground if i want i can make it burnt forest etc.. but i want a faster and better method for say making a sloping driveway to a house on a hill, where the house and hill are all part of the same prefab. Does that explain it better?

Ah, you want to do it in-game, not make a new prefab to add it later, when generating.

I was talking about creating a new one.
