I started a new save 2 days ago. Game has been running fine, up to date. Today it crashed while paused. And my entire save was reverted back to the beginning. All my progress was lost

If you can post a log file, we may be able to spot something that caused it. There are dev items that can help you get back to where you were pretty quickly. Enter CM into the F1 console, hit U, search for Dev and click the buildings-looking icon to the left of the search box and there are items in there to help.
