Search the drawers.  Exit without looting.  Harvest with proper tool for mechanical parts.  It will explode into a bag + reappear into the broken version of itself.  Double mechanical parts.

 
Would need a video of this happening, as well as the log from the playthrough with the video.  

I have not seen this in Vanilla, and I test on some really low-end hardware.
