PC Safe Storage?

Is it safe to store items in containers such as a gun safe that you find in the world? I don't want to store a ton of guns and ammo just to have it despawn at a later time. Thank you :smile-new:

 
It's safe as in it stays there yes. 😁

By that I mean I rather keep my chests a bit higher in case zombies get in but it is safe and doesn't spawn new loot if your stuff is in there.

Yeah 100% safe. I store food in fridges and etc, too.

Now, if you don't have a bedroll and/or a LCB down and you're gone for the respawn timer, then you'll be sad.

It still stays in there like a half looted box no? The only way I know to lose your stuff is accepting a quest of a poi in which you stored stuff.

Even a half looted box has to be emptied before the respawn occurs unless they changed it.
