PC robotic sledge hammer question

I think it's a melee swing, so, it shouldn't. But nothing lost by trying at the next POI, just slap a couple wooden bars to block a doorway after waking a zed.

 
Yeah I may wait to find a level 1 sledge robot to try it at a POI that I interrupt by banging on a door and then they will all fall in line towards me trough door. I did not think of that, so I think I scraped all the ones I have found.

If it does not work I will scrap it it for robotic parts.

I do know they shoot through blocks but they do that through any block iirc.  It also damages the block as well.
