My 2.0 Stable game keeps crashing to desktop, and now crashes are happening so frequently that I am unable to keep playing on this save.
Originally around Day 37 I had my first crash. I restarted the game and loaded my save again. The second crash happened about an hour of real time later. Each subsequent crash happened in shorter and shorter time.
Now I'm on Day 42 and my last crash happened after just 9 minutes. This is the session I am including the log of. I loaded in again after resetting region and crashed after 3 minutes so including that log too.
I looked at both the console for yellow and red warnings and the log. The only thing I found was "Couldn't create a Convex Mesh from source mesh "Head" within the maximum polygons limit (256). The partial hull will be used. Consider simplifying your mesh." But I have dynamic mesh turned off and after seeing this error on the earlier crashes I turned down all the other settings under dynamic mesh to their minimum.
Playing a 1.4 multiplayer world (on a different computer) we lost that save to the same issue of me the host crashing to desktop repeatedly and after a shorter amount of time every time.
I play on loot respawn disabled and no chunk resets and think this may have something to do with the problem. On the v. 1.4 save I tried using console commands to reset the chunks I was in when it crashed but that didn't work. I also tried deleting regions from the region folder in the save file, but that just reset the regions and did not fix the crashing.
I fear this will be answered by "back up your save" and use the backup after a crash. I do plan on doing this going forward and should have learned and done this for my 2.0 save after I lost my 1.4 world.
However, just wondering if there is something else that fixes this issue or just something TFP needs to be aware of to fix.
