PC Reloading XMLs with the game running

I swear i heard Joel say something about a XML reload keyboard shortcut, i might just be losing it but i heard it somewhere, if i am crazy is there another way to do this? it would be very useful i know about the XUI reload command but im talking about the blocks and items

I'm not aware of a method to do this. There are a lot of things that could potentially break by doing it live.

You may know this already, but at least you don't have to quit and relaunch the game. Loading the world is sufficient to load the xml anew. This question might get a better response in the modding section, since modding is why you'd want to reload xml. Let us know if you'd like it moved.
