HammerDano

Scavenger
what questions do you have for the Fun Pimp's in regards to 2.0 and the rest of the road map features?

***this is intended for questions only.....not discussion ABOUT the questions.

1: has the development team thought about reviving and improving the survival aspect of the game?

2: will it be possible to modify the menu options to enable or disable future features, depending on the taste of each person? For example bandits?

Some players are calling for more survival. The details of what "more survival" means can be hard to pin down because statements like "I prefer A16" aren't specific. Is that something you would consider supporting and if so, how might you go about understanding what those players specifically want tempered by what is possible?

At the end of the complete cycle, What is your vision regarding core game play, I ask because of the various changes
over the years, each alpha shared elements, but the core would change, which core game play are you shooting for?

Considering the expansion of the vanilla game has grown vastly from the original, having overlapping genre elements.
Have you ever discussed returning to the use of a game modes selector?

I realize that dates is a touchy subject: Could you gives us an update on the state of 3.0? ie 6 months to a year? or you really don't know? I would prefer to have realistic expectations.
Last response from a dev on this was "probably not before the end of 2025". I'm guessing likely Q` 2026. But again, any dates given at this point are completely useless. You should know better than to ask that.

Why TF do you not make screamers an option in the settings so people that don't want to mess with them can just get rid of them? If you're going to make storms optional that make them ■■■■ screamers optional.

GameSpark got lost few versions ago. I don't know the reason. But i know its an excellent tool to actually gather data on how players are playing the game. Beats the loud minority vs the silent majority stuff which actually gives no data at all. Is that coming back in any of the future versions?

I think they mean more harsh and find stuff out rather then everything given too you on a plate

Ive got a question alright. Will you finally let me mod enemies so that they no longer attack blocks? Why is it even impossible in the first place? You can mod everything else, why not this? Thanks in advance for passing this on in the town hall tomorrow if anyone cares to ask for me.

You can already. But you actually would have go to deep modding and not some xml shenanigans.

Why is it even impossible in the first place?
@YourMirror is right if you have the patience and desire to do it.

It's not impossible, but I would suggest, getting grepwin, and learning to manipulate it first, because there are a lot of references
in entities.xml and utilityai.xml. Possibly in other files also. Changing them one at a time will absolutely suck.

Yeah I would really appreciate if this wasnt such a big deal. World setting would be perfect, but just having it easily moddable would be good enough for me. Anyway, thats why Im asking. Fingers crossed.

Maybe until its made "easy", you could just use the settings for same result. They would still attack, but do no damage:

Drop 100% to 0% for both the AI settings.

-edit- aaah fak, they only allow as low as 25% so ignore
