Question = Drawbridge

Im trying to place a drawbridge and failed twice and I wanted to get it in before my horde and Im not sure what Im doing wrong Im following what I have done in my previous game as far as dementions yet it still collapses

Any Advice?

Without telling (or even better showing, screenshots, video, ... ) HOW you try to place the bridge, nobody will be able to help you.

Im trying to have the shut bridge where the frames are, I have done this before but for some reason it just keeps falling this time and the only difference I can see is the height as the newer build is 1 higher at 5 high each level of build instead of my usual 4

Are you trying to support your drawbridge with wood frames underneath? If so, it looks to me like you just don't have enough support.

No the frames stretched between the two ramps of flagstones is my current footbridge until I can get the drawbridge to work. I think I may have solved it the blocks that are also directly connected to the flagstone ones also need to be flagstone and I also think it needs to be the lvl of cobble:flagstone that’s right before cement can anyone confirm or deny?

I have yet to ever place a drawbridge besides one time after doing like 30 attempts. After that I gave up and never tried again, which sucks because that frickin thing would be so useful in this game. TFP really need to make it simple to place. My advice is go in to creativity mode and practice placing the drawbridge...its complicated.
