psn down can’t play 7days but can play borderlands?

so it appears psn is down and i am getting an error related to epics online service with 7 days to die.  i tried to work around this by simply disabling internet.  i could now play other games but still unable to play 7 days to die.  does this mean you have to have internet to play or just that 7 days being reliant on epic gives bad customer experience? 

nvm seems like this time i was able to disable internet and the play offline wasn’t ghosted.

Not just but definitely real from time to time. The necessary evil of cross-platform gaming is that Epic owns the infrastructure and if one of their servers goes down players who are affected will have poor to no service until they get things back up and running. It is unfortunately all part and parcel to the whole crossplay gig. Glad you were able to eventually get on in offline mode.
