I am very new to the game and not sure how to let my friend drop their bedroll or place items like spikes around the house I'm squatting in. Not sure where to start searching in the forums. I tried google but all the answers were for PC and I don't if the creators have added that feature into the beta. TYIA.
PS5 can friends place their bedroll/items on my claim?

Assuming it works like on PC, add them to your friends list in the game (not party, but friends list).

Riamus is correct but I will add pics as some may be like me and are more visual lol.
Click on the group icon to get a list of players.
Then you should see some plus signs in the area of the red boxes below.
Click on plus for each one you want. For them to do what you want they should only need to be Allies but if they are friends some will also add them to a party so you all can track each other.
They will need to go to the same screen and accept your invite. They should look like envelopes to them.
That should be it. If my memory is still working
