PC Private game boots from network with excellent connection

(PS4)Currently have a rather extensive and detailed base built on the farm on creative multiplayer private. I understand that there could be and probably is a limit to how much one can alter a specific area but the crash is sort of unique in that instead of the blue screen game crash the game says i am disconnected from the network. It did this multiple times back to back so i checked my internet connection, reset my router, even rerouted my DNS to a public server and still it happened. I found that the only way to alleviate this was to keep the spawn amount of z the same as it was the last time we loaded in. Which was ...excessive being on very high and on all the difficult settings. Since I've temporarily solved the problem it's not an issue i need fixing from the 7DTD crew. Just wanted to report this small issue so that you're aware of it.

Hi Mantra_Maker,

Thank you for reporting this. Another player reported an issue with their game crashing this way on PS4. I'm not sure what could have prompted this to occur for both of you but to start please try clearing the cache of the console by shutting down and unplugging for 5 mins before rebooting.

If clearing the cache does not work, I believe the other player had success with deleting local data following the steps I have here - https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?63585-PS4-No-connection-to-the-Playstation-Network - however please back up your saves and use caution as one player appears to have accidentally deleted their entire save.

Another cause for issues with saves is the number of lights, if you have more that 10+ lights together in the same area this can cause a crash - however you are right, this is different in that the network is involved.

I will report this issue to the team right away, please let me know if any of the suggestions help,

Clare

Success!

This worked. Another issue i should bring to your attention and maybe in a new thread if that is how it is done is in certain areas if you dig out HUGE trenches the ground will glitch out and create a semi-black hole where you will bounce up and down in it until you find a ledge on the ground to escape from it. If i take sod or other types of ground textures and drop it on what is usually the only slight ledge that dips into the hole it will reset the entire area back to normal. To be honest it helps snag zombies and render them incapable of escaping but it breaks the immersion big time.

Anyway, I'm a big fan and i just started playing this game and love to see how dedicated you are to responding to every thread. What a rarity in the gaming world ! I may be late to the party but i feel like i showed up right on time.

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you were able to get back into your game =]

For your digging issue... Hmm if you're new to the game you should be on version 1.18 (it'll say in the bottom corner of the screen when you boot the game) it's not as commonly reported in the current version but I have heard people mention it in the past. Especially if digging with explosives or an auger. Were you using either of those?

Another thing that can cause blocks to vanish and reappear (though usually player made ones) is clay deposits. A workaround players have found for missing blocks is removing any clay deposits in the area. Though judging from what you've said this is likely not what's causing it.

Always good to keep wood frames on hand too - the kind you can pick up. They can encourage things to behave when placed next to trouble areas.

Next time this occurs, would you be able to grab me a clip? That should help me narrow down and see if it's an issue the team are aware of or something new entirely.

Thanks :)

Clare

While we are still chasing this connectivity issue too, would it be possible to know your region / location and ISP provider? I am trying to find the common factor in this issue.

Apologies for the late response, i've been in DEEP in the random gen for days lol.

Anywho, you are correct. I used dynamite to clear out a rather large section on the navezgane on the farm on the end of where the corn used to be closest to Diersville. After that i used an augur to carve it out then all of a sudden the ground opened up.

As far as the connection question I am located in Fort Worth,Texas and AT&T is the provider. I haven't had this issue again but i haven't been running that game as often lately because i have simply overbuilt that area and the game frequently crashes now. Creative mode is easy to get burnt out on anyways without some of the updated functions of the PC version.

Thank you for the detail on your ISP and location (I just noticed your location is under your profile name too, sorry I missed that) hopefully other players will be able to provide those details and I can compare to see if it was a localized incident or more widespread.

It sounds like the ground glitching in and out is a version of what we've seen before. I will add this info to the report so the team are aware that though it may not be mentioned frequently it is still occurring for players.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide this information.
