PC PREGEN01 = Marksman Seed but Marksman Seeds does not = PREGEN01???

So PREGEN01's seed name is Marksman. When you go into Worlds you can view the map and the Generation Info and see the Seed name is Marksman.

However, when you go into the Random Gen Previewer and type in Marksman, the map you get it similar, but also quite different.

So I guess my question is, why do the same seed names have different maps?

 
Changes to rwgmixer will result in different maps.

It's likely they made further changes to the RWG *after* they had made these maps.

 
That makes sense. I wonder is it possible to transplant an "old" Marksman on top of a "new" Marksman since the new map has some cool changes.

 
Wouldn't you just generate a new map with the seed Marksman?

I would but I already started a game on the old Marksman. I suppose I could just start a new game since I am not too far into it and take what I have learned and start off even better.
