Power Outage- Lost my saved world??

I had a power outage while I was playing and when the power came back on I hit continue but the game started as though I clicked new game. Where did my save go? Thanks in advance of any help.

It got trashed. Power went out as it was writing the file, sorry. It's a goner.

Nooooo, I had hours and hours on that save. My power went out twice today the first time my save was fine, but I guess it's like you said, it was writing the file while the power shut the second time. Man that sux!

Is there a file I should be backing up once in a while to avoid a total loss like this again? I'm playing with Valmod.

Also, is there a way to view your gameworld map online? There was a way to do this with Minecraft.

You can try go to your save folder and right click properties and click previous versions and restore the latest back up of the file if it exists.

in AppData / Roaming folder

Alloc has a webmap mod -> https://7dtd.illy.bz/wiki/Server%20fixes

And for backup, look for your worldname folder in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie and backup yoursteamid.ttp and yoursteamid.map. If it happens again you can overwrite the corrupted ones with the backupped ones.
