Possible story line inclusion

Reading all of the posts, I thought of this as a possible non intrusive way to have
both means of playing simultaneously interwoven, but not be interrupting. Allowing
optional choice, not incurring a major dev reallocation of resources, can be added
seamlessly, and allow consoles to use during cross-play.

Can the pois be used as plot devices, so far most focus has been on the biomes
themselves. But once you get to a biome, it does not actively progress any story
dialog. Elements available to possibly run a story, Traders, notes and maps, quest
mechanic, pois. All of these are tangible items that, can be seen touched and
interacted with. Also since they have already been included in the game for years,
they may be easy to work with.

Example: the traders give quests already, just have a secondary branch called story profile
or something similar. Each one of the quests given may send you directly looking for
a non marked trader, or to a much harder poi, where you need to find a specific MacGuffin.

This in turn moves on to the next step, where notes are found and saved, maybe out of order
When read together, they could tie the plot together. Special Weapons caches, and armor can
be found and would be necessary for the final fight.

The final fight: can use something that was mentioned in the Town Hall video. The flatspot
tied to an event. So unless a person has followed the story profile to this conclusion,
The event POI does not exist. So no intrusion on non story line gameplay, but still included
as an option. That can be progressed, at what ever pace the player chooses.

If there were 10 steps, then they may do 1, then go play the way they normally choose to. If
it is of interest or strike their desire, then they may end up doing to step 7. Then return to
their normal gameplay. Later they may go to the end to the final fight. The event engages, the
poi is placed, and the fight is on. But never interrupting any other form of game play, and using
elements already in the game.

It would allow incorporation, non conflict, and completion of an obligation to kickstarter. It would
be an option, just not one where you have to select a button when starting the game. The last part
that may be considered a positive, is since it would be using straight TFP assets, it should not
be registered as modded for consoles, so they get an option for crossplay.

To a player that does not want to run through the story, or already has, there is no button to push
they just don't take the quest. and unless they follow it to the end there won't be any poi or change
in their gameplay.
