Possible additions to the game

Hi is there any chance you all can bring new stuff into 7 days to die console adding in zombie crocodiles for water and zombie monkeys for trees also beavers which can be on land or water which can to make it more terrifying while swimming in water and chopping down trees. Fishing for food would be a nice add too. Plus you can also get struck with lightning during a thunderstorm. In the snow area you can get an avalanche which can damage your base if you have built it in the snow area and your can die if you are caught in it. Plus can you can recruit allies to join you in your Base and on travel for supplies. Something to bring in excitement to a single player game and maybe the multiplayer to if u all can or if you can have allies you can start a family with and if they are at base when your out getting supplies your base can be attacked and if u are infected you have 7 days or less to find 4 ingredients to make the cure you can only find them at night. But at night it's gets really hard to get them as the zombies are more terrifying and aggressive by make it more of a challenging decision live or die but the 4 ingredients u need will only glow at night. And depends on the type of zombie that infects you the infection could be different ect tougher the zombie the more severe the infection. And possibly a way to domesticate some animals.

What do you all think.

They might add water enemies from what faatal has said, but it is nothing more than a maybe and will be determined mostly by available time.

Monkeys aren't going to happen.  This is set in Arizona.

They have not seemed to be interested in adding fishing and have said no to NPC allies.

Weather and differences in biomes are coming in the weather update that is on the roadmap.  But I doubt you will see things like lightning or avalanches Harmon players.  Most players probably wouldn't like random damage like that.

There will not be a family in this game.  And people already complain about infections with a single ingredient (honey), so more isn't going to be appreciated.

They have also said no to domesticating animals.

Remember that they are in the final stages of development.  Major changes that aren't on the roadmap aren't likely to happen.

I love the idea of crocodiles near water, also would like to see a Moose in the snow biome that has an aggressive attack with its antlers. Would love to see fishing as well with a fishing skill called "The wrangler" maybe have different tires of fishing poles and fishing lures that can be bought at traders? as long as they can find a good use for fish meat...after all there is a recipe for fish tacos... Maybe to help heal loss from aliments or aid in healing in some way...

I honestly think we are going to see more additions to the game other than whats on the roadmap through dlcs and such in the future. Hoping anyways :D

There will definitely be DLCs.  But whether they are just cosmetic or POI packs or include actual new features is still unknown.  They will be moving into their next game over this is finished and they haven't given any indication how many devs will remain focused on stuff like DLC for this one.

I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m going to mention it again.
I think you are rather mistaken on just how “done” they are with the game.
They wouldn’t have put forth this much effort into getting console up to date, with players having to buy the game again, just to turn around and say they are done. I’m willing to bet there is a whole lot more than what you are thinking there is.

They have said they are already starting work on their next game.  They have not given details on it yet (they likely won't until this is gold), but they have commented on it a number of times.  It's pretty clear that they are looking forward to moving in that direction.  They've also been focused on the finishing touches for this game over the past couple of alphas, which is why many players are complaining about lack of new content.  The focus has been improving art and animations and completing the major features they want for the finished product.  Console is part of the plan for the finished product - making the game available for all players at the final gold version of the game.

Yes, there will be DLC, which I said.  But they are planning on gold (finished product) at the end of the roadmap, so within 2 years ... assuming they manage to hit their timetable, which most of us aren't putting much hope on.  After that, you'll see what you normally see from a finished game... some DLC and some patches to fix bugs, with perhaps a couple updates with new things thrown into the mix, but basically done with it and moving on to their next game.  It's been pretty clear that they are excited to get started on the next game.

I'm not saying they won't change things and do something else, but that is the direction they've made it clear they are headed.  And quite honestly, it's time for them to finish the game and move onto a new one.  This game has been beaten to death in updates for far too long and it's time to give a final version and be done with it.

I think having  zombies crocodiles and any other water enemies in the game would bring the water part to life as there are no water enemies in the game. Trees enemies would be great to because going near tree to chop them down would be more fun and keep you on your toes and alert. Because have some thing like monkeys or if not monkeys something else jumping out at you would be fun and also terrifying monkeys that can steal items and equipment to be fun and terrifying to if u are fighting horde of zombie monkeys or zombies all together off. We just need more fun and bring the game to life going around killing the same enemies every day will start to get boring for other players you want to keep players entertained to play the game not bored them. also have npcs that you can build a settlement with and be able to start a family with would be more fun and would give players something to play for in the game and not be bored just playing online or single player  going around collecting supplies and building alone. Walking around the map alone killing the same zombies day and night in the game would get boring for some players. So having some hazards in the game in all areas would keep players alert like avalanche in snow that could damage your base in snow area would be fun and driving like mad in a snow or running for cover would keep player alert too by trying to get away from it would be fun. lightning that could strike u in a thunderstorm again would keep u alert and on your toes. Burning area fires as its the called burning biome for a reason desert wee sand tornado just like in the wasteland they had mines that kept you on your toes and the zombies dogs being their too. Again player want fun be entertained and stay alert with dangerous thing that can happen zombies that can jump out at u from water trees houses and so on not bored. Walking around alone killing the same thing can get boring for players building a settlement or a base alone can be the same for other players too. I get why that player is asking for all this but do you all.

I've responded to those ideas and repeating them doesn't change the response.  Some things won't happen and some things might (see what I said above).

You seem to think that people will get bored of the game with how it is now, yet the game has consistently increased in the number of players and it has higher average gameplay time than just about any game other than service games like MMOs.  Many players have over 1000 hours in this game.  How many games can boast that if they aren't service games like MMOs?  Even those who don't have over 1000 hours very often have a few hundred hours.  And if you compared this game to others any one of those players has played, you'll still usually see this game having more hours than others they play.

That counters what you are suggesting because it's clear evidence that people DO enjoy the game without the things you are suggesting.  I'm not saying new things will not make people like it more, but not having them isn't the cause of boredom.  This game is going to be liked by some and disliked by others.  If people get bored of it quickly, then it isn't going to be the game for them regardless of any additions to the game.

Btw, it is called the "burnt" biome, not the "burning" biome.  The game is set a while AFTER the "apocalypse" and fires don't last forever.  It was burned prior to the game, not during the game.  Besides fire is a FPS killer, so they'll keep fire to a minimum as much as possible, especially if it's environmental fire rather than something like a weapon on fire or a trap that uses fire.

And if playing alone is too boring for you, play with someone.  That will likely give you more enjoyment than playing alone.  I usually play games alone, but this one I play with someone else all the time.  If I only ever played it by myself, I would have a LOT fewer hours in the game.
