PC PLease replace captcha with non color based

I am color challenged and the captcha that pops up for search is basically incomprehensible to me, i am sure i am not the only one.

And in this day and age some awareness must surely exist that some of us struggle with color puzzles. its basically a stop sigh for me that i cant pass.

Now I know how the bots must feel. (sorry couldn't resist) :)

But out of curiosity, which search do you mean? and captcha?

When I do a forum search, when logged in, you don't have to do anything, it just works.

If you mean the Search thread type button, that is insanely hard to read for the rest of us too.

If neither of those two. What exactly are you referring to?

Yeah well it took a while for my account to be validated, so just try a forum search while NOT logged in... There will be an "Image Verification" section.

Also, that same atrocious captcha was used during the registration process, so i couldn't even HAVE an account to login into if i hadn't used "Refresh Image" at least 100 times. No exaggeration. And i don't even have any visual impairment. :-|

 
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I can't make any promises about the captchas, but I will raise this issue with the appropriate people.
